Alpha Hydraulic Lifting Services was established in 2011. The directors, Mr. Franco Smit and Mr. M.M Brink, are both registered Lifting Machine Inspectors (LMI) with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) with the following LMI Numbers:

The objectives of establishing the company was to provide a quality hydraulic service to the truck mounted crane industry. Our services include the following;

• Sales , service and repairs to truck mounted cranes
• Hydraulic repair work
• Repairs and maintenance to Aerial platform units
• Computerised fault finding on remote controlled cranes
• Load test certification on truck mounted cranes and aerial platforms
• Installations of truck mounted cranes , hooklifts , tailifts

We are the authorised HIAB and PESCI agent for the Western Cape region and also service and maintain brands such as Palfinger , Maxilift , COPMA , Atlas ,FASSI , Bonfiglioli and GENIE Aerial Platforms. We currently maintain a fleet of specialised Lifeline Aerial Platforms from Smith Capital , who are contracted to Eskom.

The company has a combined wealth of experience of 62 years in technical expertise and fault finding and the training provided to the LMI’s have been done in Austria and South Africa through Palfinger and also through Smith Capital and Altec , who are the Life Line Aerial Platform manufacturers. Further training was undertaken with FASSI Durban.

The owners gained their experience by being at the cold face of fault finding and being actively involved in the actual maintenance and repairs of various types of hydraulic systems. Their management encompasses the technical capability , human resource , customer liaison and quality assurance and control. We strive and are able to deliver a quality product and service at the right price at the right time.

We adhere to safe working procedures , maintenance procedures and sound mechanical principles. We have the standard code of conduct in place and conform to sound business practices in line with our customer objectives and codes of conduct. We are in possession of our valid SARS tax clearance certificate and have a BEE level 4.
